Recently, there have been frequent inquiries regarding the filling in of the HS code in the certificate of origin of the Free Trade Agreement. Enterprises have been requested by foreign customers to change the certificate because they have not filled in the HS code of the importing member country. The accuracy of the filling in of the code directly affects the smooth clearance of goods at foreign customs
Currently, among the 13 certificates of origin issued by us under the Free Trade Agreement, there are five types of certificates that explicitly require filling in the six digit HS code of the importer in the corresponding column: Certificate of Origin under the China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, Certificate of Origin under the China Pakistan Free Trade Agreement, Certificate of Origin under the China Singapore Free Trade Agreement, Certificate of Origin under the China Switzerland Free Trade Agreement, and Certificate of Origin under the China Iceland Free Trade Agreement, In addition, the eighth column of the Certificate of Preferential Origin of the Cross Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement should be filled with the eight digit HS code of the importer
