In form E for example: the date of shipment on the certificate of origin should be consistent with the date of departure on the bill of lading. There is no necessary relationship between the application date on the certificate of origin and the actual sailing date and the date of bill of lading. Any day can be used as long as the shipping date is consistent. If the ship is delayed and the sailing date on the bill of lading changes, the shipping date on the certificate of origin should also be changed accordingly.
