The FTA between China and Georgia will enter into force in 2

One belt, one road; in November 28, 2017, Qian Keming, Vice Minister of Commerce of China, attended the Tbilisi government &ldquo hosted by the Georgian government; The forum also met with the first deputy prime minister of Georgia Kum sishvili, confirmed that both sides have completed the domestic examination and approval procedures of the free trade agreement between the government of the people's Republic of China and the government of Georgia(hereinafter referred to as the agreement), and announced that the agreement will enter into force on January 1, 2018.
&The agreement started negotiations in December 2015 and was officially signed in May 2017. The leaders of China and Georgia have always attached great importance to the talks and expressed their strong will to start and accelerate the negotiation process, which played an important role in promoting the negotiation and entry into force of the agreement.

The agreement is one belt, one road ” the first free trade agreement initiated and reached by China after the initiative was put forward; it is a concrete move to promote the formation of a new pattern of comprehensive opening up and develop a higher level open economy. According to the agreement, the two sides cancelled tariffs on the vast majority of goods trade products, made high-quality market opening commitments to many service departments, and improved the rules of intellectual property rights, environmental protection, e-commerce and competition. The agreement will create a more open, convenient and stable business environment for enterprises of the two countries and provide consumers with more products and services of high quality and low price. One belt, one road to the two sides, will take the opportunity of the entry into force of the agreement to enhance the level of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries and further promote &ldquo and &rdquo.
